Isolation materials / Surface insulation materials - electrically Insulating films

Surface insulator film materials electrically insulating offer a perfect and user-friendly solution when it comes to galvanic isolation / isolation between electrical and electronic components and her environment (for example, housings, heat sinks).

ICT SUEDWERK provides you with the right surface insulation materials as a blank, punched part or laser cutting part - if necessary also over a wide area or partially self-adhesive - from the individual piece (protoytype) to the mass production. Materials with high dielectric strength are just as much a part of our program as temperature-resistant and flame-retardant materials.

With our modern Flatbed-punching, plotter and laser cutting systems, we are able to produce the insulating foils quickly and very efficiently in according to the customer's requirements. For example, we can pre-form bends of the films so that a form-fitting assembly in the application is possible. We can also produce inscriptions and surface engravings using through CO2 laser technology.

The following spectrum of surface insulation materials - electrically We can offer insulating films:

NOMEX® films (aramid paper pressboard)

Synthetic aromatic polyamide polymer (aramid), which is characterized by a particularly stable molecular structure. This is due to the excellent dielectric, thermal, chemical and mechanical properties of NOMEX® and enable NOMEX® products to be used in a wide range of applications. NOMEX® aramid paper and pressboard is a trademark of DuPont.

KAPTON® films

Kapton® is the trademark for extruded polyimide films (polycondensation of an aromatic dianhydride and an aromatic diamine) from DuPont. Kapton® films have been used for many years wherever extreme requirements are placed on a film material.

PEN films

PEN films (e.g., Teonex® from DuPont) are extruded films of polyethylene naphthalate with thermally and chemically improved property profile compared to polyester films PET.

Polyester film (PET)

Polyester films are extruded films of polyethylene taphthalate (condensate product of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid) which have been used for many years as electrical insulation materials but also in many other industrial applications (e.g., packaging, printing industry, etc.). Polyester films e.g. Mylar®, Melinex®, etc.

Material suppliers

We supply our insulation materials and adhesives primarily from well-known German wholesalers and contract partners from the manufacturers DuPont, DuPont Teijin Films, PPI, 3M, etc.

Reach / Rohs

REACH is a European Union is an EU Chemicals Ordinance (EC) No. 1907/2006 which entered into force on 1 June 2007. R-E-A-CH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, that is, for the registration, evaluation, approval and restriction of chemicals. As an EU regulation, REACH is equally and directly applicable in all Member States.

As intermediaries, therefore, the placing on the market of these chemical substances, if they fall within the scope of REACH, all products must have their own registration number.

For all the following insulation materials for the electrical industry:

  • Surface insulating materials (NOMEX®, KAPTON® films, PEN, PET films, laminates, presspan)
  • Adhesive tapes and adhesive films
  • Technical plastics

As a further processing company ICT SUEDWERK GmbH are willing, in cooperation with our suppliers and contract partners (wholesalers, manufacturers), to make the EU safety data sheet or product-related REACH declarations, of course, available upon request.
